In all honestly, I personally find this movie a bit lackluster.

I saw it in theaters. (I read the book first) The film looked beautiful, and as you can see from these scenes, they really nailed the look of Dr. Seuss, but I felt that the overall story was weak.
There was too much goofing around, things felt rushed, and there was a very out of place daydream sequence done in hand-drawn animation, inspired by anime, that went on for way too long. They pretty much stopped the film just so they could have that sequence.

Make no mistake, I definitely thought that there were some good aspects in this film, but for me the bad out-numbered the good.

If you are going to post links to videos with the Hoff, they need to have a disclaimer. Observe*:

WARNING!
The following link contains footage of David Hasselhoff:

Click to see "Jump In My Car"
Now, to his credit, unlike other stars of his time that have come and gone, he does have fun with the fact that he is sort of a joke these days...

*The fact that I have included a link to a Hoff video does not mean you have to click on it. If you choose not to, I certainly won't be offended.
