Just curious how someone could over-ride the 'item' line?

I havn't been there in a while, but it looks like someone tampered with the "thank you" line.
maybe they can "personalize" the receipts with a message, and in this case, it wasn't so friendly!
perhaps they had several SG's as customers?
..and gave in to temptation! :p:

Many years ago in the mainframe computer days a friend who was an application programmer and his fellow programmers decided to add some responses to non-standard entries by users. One, in response to the ubiquitous f--- you was, "Your place or mine honey?"
Thinking it might be days before there was any response they were surprised less than an hour later by a woman who happened to be the corporate general counsel storming into their office and demanding to know why the computer was asking her out.
One of the programmers asked what she had typed into the system. She responded by getting red in the face, said never mind, and stormed back out the door.

I had a very irate boss with a similar situation. We had an application where the database would send an e-mail when a user entered an error report - a report of a system error that would need to be fixed. A guy that had left the company a few months before had an entry - JUST FOR MY BOSS - that said "Fix your D@MN program!!!" in the email. The customer didn't get that message, the other programmers didn't get that message...only the boss. I had to find the code and make sure the entry was changed...and I showed him why he didn't need to worry about the customer getting that particular message. There are times I miss those days...then there are days like today where I don't miss them at all...

I think my favorite thing is the poll question and the results so far:
What would you do if you got an offensive receipt like the one at Burger King?
Never eat there again 19%
Think it's a joke 40%
Sue the company 14%
Demand someone get fired 27%
So apparently 40% of people would laugh and think its a joke. Perez falls into the 19% who would just never eat there again. (BTW I didn't know you could order a burger cut in half?!)

You know their motto, "Have it your way." Or at least it used to be. When I was a kid (many moons ago) and they actually flame broiled their burgers, my mom was a stupid customer and would order hers without a top bun. I'm surprised she never got the f**k you message.

A friend worked at BK. His job was to sit in a back room and put the grill marks on with a Sharpie. He was always bragging about wearing Burger King pants. You know, home of the Whopper.

I must admit, if I got a receipt like that, I would be complaining as well. Of course, it most likely would be the result of someone just goofing around. However, there is some "goofing around" that shouldn't been done at work. This was such a case.
If it happened to me, I probably wouldn't stop going to any Burger King places, but I might start avoiding that one.

I have to agree.
