Uh oh...I was an unintentional SG...

I had to be in Anaheim on business last week. Wife and I decided to hit Disneyland on Friday, 11/12 (big mistake - crowded beyond belief because we didn't do our homework and realize it was the first official day of the Christmas decorations and the area schools were out for a holiday weekend), but I digress...

We were in line for It's a Small World, about 8 people from the front of the line when the CM proceeds to ask how many (looking for a party of two), I say we're two and she opens the chain, tells us to go to #1. We head to #1 and she says "no, your three, not two." We turn, look at her, shrug our shoulders thinking she meant she was looking for a party of 3, not 2 and head back up the ramp. In our defense, she was a little hard to understand and she was standing right where we stepped out of line with the chain opened again. As we step back in our place, she looks at us and says "what are you doing?" I say, "we are two, not three." She says, "I know, 2 go to #1 please." We scurry back down the ramp to gate #1.

Never did figure out what she was talking about or why she said that unless she was talking to another party and we only thought her comment was meant for us.

If it makes a difference, we did feel embarrassed and stupid... ;)

Reminds me of Who's on First. Abbot & Costello. So old yet still funny.

For reasons like this I wish the rows in attractions that require grouping were alphabetically organized versus numerically. However I could see the difficulty in explaining the row's letter to a foreign guest.

That's exactly why they're numbered. If they speak little or no english and I figure out how many are in their group I can hold up fingers to tell them which rows to go to.

She must have been talking to someone else. No need to feel stupid, it's Disneyland!
