CBC Montreal: Montreal metro car's doors stay open in transit

I think the stupidity can be shared equally among several parties here:

On the one hand, you have the wonderful people at the Société de Transport de Montréal who continue to insist that this is an isolated incident despite the fact that the Metro cars are almost 45 years old.

On the other, you have all the passengers who let the train go eight stations without mentioning to someone (such as the driver), that the doors were open. They must've thought that the doors were just for decoration  .

*hands out signs to everybody*

After seven years of service on the WDW Railroad, where the doors are *always* open, I don't see what's all that unusual here.

Especially the part about the passengers just taking video instead of notifying a crew member.

Maybe it was a warm day and the passengers liked the ventilation.

I see the same thing on Maui all the time. Here it's a van full of tourists with the sliding side doors open on both sides.
