Stupid Guest Tricks

I had procedure done two and a half weeks ago checking on how I am inside since the end of Chemotherapy in January.


The results came back today.

They want to do a PET Scan to make sure that cancer has not spread and they want to do radiation treatment if the cancer is still localized below my waist.

I am rooting for you, Purpura!!!!!

Can you give me the Cliff Notes version, since I am late to the party???

Hoping that the PET scan shows no spreading, and that Radiation Treatment is successful to make sure every last cancer cell is killed.

For DLRFantasmicDan, to summarize, on August 11 of last year, Purpura was en route to work when she leaned over to tie her shoe, and felt a tearing pain in her abdomen. A visit to the ER revealed a large abdominal mass. She was referred to a Gynecologist, who referred her to a Gynecological Oncologist. A Hysterectomy was performed on August 31, as well as the removal of a 17 centimeter Adenosarcoma (which is a tumor with both benign and malignant tissue.) She began chemotherapy in October, and completed it in January of this year. In February, she was pronounced Cancer free. However, the cancer has now returned.

You're still in my thoughts and prayers, Purpura! Please continue to keep us posted...

Oh no hun, I hope it hasn't spread at all. Sarcomas are nasty, I'm in remission for osteosarcoma. I hope more funding is put forth towards sarcoma research, as of right now sarcomas get a whopping 1% of cancer research funds. You'll be in my thoughts, keep us updated.
