"Adult" Costumes at Mickey's Not So Scary

First post... be nice to me.
So, I was working as attendant in the Judge's Tent with Mickey and Minnie tonight. They looked quite cute in their costumes. I love working the halloween parties and seeing guests get dressed up but some I just don't understand.
Enter SG, a woman in her late 20s, wearing an adult Queen of Hearts costume. At one point she bent over and lets just say her skirt was toooo short.

I told the loader not to put anyone else in the room until her party left so no one else had to see that.
Who in their right mind wears these costumes to a family theme park?

Oh and I'm not officially welcoming you because I think there is a resident greeter, so I'll just secretly wave and nod my head at you.

LOL! I had seen my fair share of those costumes. Never mind a theme park, how about in general? The whole purpose of Halloween is to play dress up, not to take costumes off. Oh when will woman, and costume makers, learn that creativity is what wins in a good Halloween costume. You gotta give them credit for something though, they are really good for a laugh, after you are done having second hand embarrassment.
BTW, WELCOME to SGT!

I have to say, it is really hard to find readymade adult costumes for women that aren't Sexy [Pirate / Cop / Cat / Mustard Bottle]. My friend and I recently went into one of those Halloween "Spirit" stores that crop up every season, and we had to go all the way to the back of the store before we saw any women's costumes that weren't stripper costumes.
The sad thing is that most of them were the same basic formula, just with different fabrics and details:
A sweetheart bodice, usually "laced" up the front
Little puffy sleeves
Short, full skirt with petticoat underneath
There were a zillion of those. BORING.
Now, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with stripper costumes; you wanna be a Sexy Ketchup Bottle, you go right ahead. It's that they are so prevalent and that it's so hard to find anything else that's the problem. If you didn't want to be a Sexy (whatever), you could be:
A Greek goddess
A vampire queen (still sexy, but at least it was floor-length)
A gangster
Or half of a "couples gag" costumes, most of which were also pretty awful and sexist.
If I were in the position where I was actually looking for a costume to wear at a Spirit store, I'd be pretty frustrated at the terrible selection.
(I don't have this issue personally because hi, I'm a professional costumer and I can make something myowndamnself (not that I have TIME this year. I'll probably end up wearing my 1890s gown with gruesome makeup, or something. Dunno yet.).)

I'm paying a lot to have someone make a costume for me...but I won't have it for Halloween this year, but it will be unique and attract a lot of attention in both good and bad ways.
Hello disney4now, I am the resident dragon and would like to offer you a very warm* welcome to that slice of the internet we call SGT. This website contains threads with quick twists and turns and I would like to advise you to not try to hard to keep up with them. Please keep your hands, arms, and legs safely inside the website at all times and enjoy your stay.
*this instance of warm is actually hot**... very hot
**this instance of hot means that you are now literally on fire, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience

I went to the party last year, and thankfully didn't see many of the not appropriate costumes. My group dressed up, and we were all roasting in our various costumes but man, our full -length and fully covered costumes got WAY more attention than any 'sexy' thing would have.
Cruella, Anastasia and Drizella, Shan Yu, and Belle.
Granted, as someone said before, it could have something to do with me being a professional costumer and making exact replica's... ;) Even management loved it!
