SG: (After I just booked her into the Grand Floridian) " What happens if it rains"
Me: What do you mean?
SG: You know if it starts raining really hard?
Me: You could seek shelter in one of our stores, grab lunch or experience an indoor attraction.
SG: You mean Disney doesn't close when its poring down rain?
Me: No we do not.
SG: Why Not?
Me: Well seeing that it rains thought the year here in Florida, we would not be open everyday of the year.
SG: What if I cannot do anything will I get a refund?
Me: We cannot control the weather, if it rains while you are here, relax. The rain usually does not last long.
SG: Oh well if my vacation is ruined because of rain I will just Speak to a manager.
Seriously... If rain "ruins" a vacation I think you need to rethink things.

The rain wouldn't bother me,it's those flashing lights in the sky thingys that would worry me.

Translation: "I'll complain to the manager until I get free WDW ponchos."

Been to Walt Disney World several times with my sister Moe. Rain is nothing. A thunder storm is a great light show.
Don't let this SG go to the walk way at the top of the Contemporary. They will look pretty after a lightening blast.

Hehehehe
you should have told them that rain was an "added value" special feature that WDW arranges to cool off the parks!

YUP, we hear that all the time..
I have a shorter spiel now....
SG: " What happens if it rains"
Me: "Celebrate!"
Sometimes I just say.."Welcome to the tropics!" or "Welcome to sunny Florida" or "It is just liquid sunshine!"
Yeah, I have a big ol' CM smile on when I say all of these things.
Yeah, I'll never get to be a Meg Crofton type. *sigh*

I remember my first trip to WDW where it rained everyday, almost at the exact same time, almost so reliable that you may have done reasonably well setting you watch by it. It was a surprise the first day because of how quickly it came on, confusing the second and third because of the consistency, and expected by the fourth. We always managed to find something to do while it was raining, including riding the people mover twice in a row.

It's amazing what guest let them bother them or 'ruin' their vacation. I mean didn't you plan for this kind of thing? Doesn't it rain over where you live? The outrage is just ridiculous, and the part that really baffles me is that they see us getting wet and still manage to make it all about them...
