judging by the overall look, and the fact that they had the old rocket in the background, and other factors, I would say this is from the late 50's eary 60's?

and it was probably a Disney production.

I agree--those are horrible copies. This is what you'd call a major case of copyright infringement, with a buttload of evidence to prove it.

I agree with Grumpy Pirate. Those characters lok just like the ones in the stills from the opening of Disneyland. They could well be official Characters from the era.

Further research indicates that after 1956, Ice Capades allied with Disney on a number of productions http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1 ... 02,4244463

That was more than likely an Ice Capades production. Back in the day, Disney character costumes didn't exactly follow character model sheets from the studio. I think the costumes were largely an artist's interpretation of the character. I remember reading that the original character costumes for Disneyland came from the Ice Capades productions.
If you watch the movie, "The Greatest Show on Earth", there is a scene were the Disney characters are part of the Ringling Bros' circus parade. Those are some strange costumes. There is even a scene were the character heads are being put on by the performers.

Years ago--I'm thinking early 70s, maybe--we went to a show of Disney characters, and everything was really well-done. We agreed that the only faults were that Mowgli's bodysuit was a little too loose, and Alice's blush was a little too heavy. But it was a great show, nonetheless.
