After long lurking...........

..........I thought it was time to register myself.

This board and his members often make my smile :D:
Always when I'm down after realizing that I must be the most stupid guest ever that visits WDW I come over here and read that I'm not the only one that thinks some people are beyond help.

I learned on another board how to cheat, lie and take advantage of the CM.
A few examples.
How to put eight in a room for four.
How to smuggle in kids as underage for free.
How to cheat my 12 year old child into the free dining program.
How to pool hop.
How to scream at CM to get a free upgrade.
How to park for free at the resorts.
How to take non paying guest into the club lounge and let them eat for free.
How to complain about CM that did not give into my extravagant demands.
How to moan about a VIP cleaning even if you don't need one.

The list is endless but if I would try to use one of these tricks I would find myself walking to the airport without my CC and my husband would already filed for divorce when I was able to get home.
So thank you for putting everything in perspective.

First off,Welcome. The 'Supes' will be along soon. I do so love the 'other' boards,I need a good laugh now and then. Sometimes my favorite thing is,"How many different ways can you ask the same question?".

Hello, Ice Bear! Though I'm not one of the "Supes" that darph was talking about (despite my "avatar"), I wish to welcome you to SGT. It is nice to see you recognize that the behaviors you listed are not appropriate. It is the people who try to "beat the system" that usual end up making life difficult for the average guest, in my opinion.

Of us marsupials, only one (BW) is a supervisor/moderator on this board, making him a Supe-supe. I cannot divulge whether either of us has superpowers, as that could jeopardize our secret identity. That is, if we have any. (Q: What should Clark Kent do to disguise his identity if he ever misplaces his glasses? A: Shout, "I'm wearing contacts!" :rolleyes :)

Ice Bear,
:sgthello:
:D: :D: :D:

P.S. I first thought the name was "Ice Beer." I may have been around darph too long. :D:

*puts on comic geek hat*

Actually, it is interesting how the whole "how do the glasses fool anyone" thing has been addressed. In the Silver Age, it was explained in one comic that, because he had used Kryptonian glass in his eyeglasses, he was subconsciously using "super-hypnosis" to make people think he looked different as Clark Kent. Yes, "super-hypnosis". Back in those days, Superman could do anything, just slap the word "super" in front of it...

In more recent times, the glasses are strictly earth-made. However, it is explained that when he is Clark Kent, he is very careful to keep "in character" as Clark. Superman, for example, uses bold gestures and is rather dynamic is his manner. Clark, on the other hand, is very reserved, to the point of almost being dull. Throw in differences in hair-style, a little change in the tone of his speaking voice, and people might say "You know, he looks a little like Superman, but not that much."

Of course, having shape-shifting fellow crime-fighters occasionally show up disguised as one of your identities to meet with you helps throw people off as well.

Okay, everyone, back to making Ice Bear feel welcome!
