Stupid Guest Tricks

I remeber when I worked at SFGA I used to get comments allllllllllllll the time when I went to cash my check from the tellers. It was so annoying, oh what ride do you work on (newsflash, there's other departments than rides) can you get me in free? do you have any coupons? what does a ticket cost? what are the hours? is (insert name of new POS ride) open yet? Oh, Bugs Bunny doesn't sign your check? It didn't take me long to learn about direct deposit after that.

So is this normal or did I just go to a nosey bank?

There was the lady at Starbucks who, upon noticing my Great Movie Ride pin on my jacket (I didn't have my nametag on), asked me if I was a Gangster there. Kind of cute, but I've only been a Movie Rider for a month so not nearly long enough to become Mugsi yet.

Not while cashing my check, but once I was crossing the street to get to the bus stop to go to work, and this total loser pulls over at the curb, jumps out of his car--I'm still crossing the street--and asks if I have any tickets! He's aware Knott's gives employees a couple free tickets for family and friends, but what he wants to know (after I tell him sorry, I gave mine away to my niece) is if he can get several tickets so he can bring in a group of special needs people. Meanwhile traffic is heavy, morning rush, and drivers are honking their horns at this guy and having to go around his car, which is at a corner, blocking traffic. I tell him to call the main office. I finally get away from this major jerk, he gets into his car and takes off. Once again, I wished I didn't have to wear my costume to work, or that I could drive instead of taking the bus. Had another guy pull up another time asking the same thing, but this time I was at the bus stop, and he didn't snarl traffic.

Some things should not be advertised....

When I took a paper paycheque here in Florida (bunch of reasons why I had to), all I got from the Partners FCU CM was some variant of the following:

What?! Why do you have a five-digit account number?! Are you trying to pull some fast one on us?!!!

(Partners FCU is the CM Credit Union, it was formed in 2007 through the merger of the old Partners FCU, which served DLR, and Vista FCU, which served WDW and TWDC Corporate in Burbank. My account was opened with old Partners before the merger, and was in the 5-digit format used at the time instead of the 10-digit format that Vista used, and which Partners uses now. My account number never changed.)

Suffice it to say, I couldn't get back on Direct Deposit fast enough, lol.

Although this never happened to me, it makes me glad I closed my partners account. (The major reason was that I didn't like the way their overdraft protection worked, and I didn't like the "video teller")
