WDW Security/Surveillance?

All,

After lurking a while and reading the horror stories of SG's awful behavior towards MAW/GKTW families, I felt compelled to register and ask a question.

A little background, for the past six years I have worked in management of a casino surveillance department, and surveillance is now in my blood.

I would absolutely love to protect the integrity of WDW while employed in this field. My question is, does WDW have an actual "Surveillance" department?

Allow me to be the first to offer you a very warm* welcome to the slice of internet that is SGT. The Marsupial Welcoming Committee should be along in the near future to give you the official welcome.

As for your question, I shall leave that for someone who actually knows.

*by warm I mean hot**, very hot

**by hot I mean you are now, literally, on fire and I apologize for any inconvenience

There was a manager of security job posting at the beginning of this year. Two of the qualifications peaked my interest:
* Proven knowledge of integrated access control techniques
* Proven knowledge of integrated monitoring systems

I took the latter to mean CCTV monitoring.

out of curiosity, what platform does your casino run on?

Yes, there is surveillance. One time I was in Security to take care of something and I heard a guard mention he was in the camera room that day. There are cameras scattered throughout the parks, especially at the entrances, that are monitored.

WDW also employs a number of plainclothes officers who patrol the parks other areas keeping an eye on things without the guests noticing them.

Last time I was in the parks I actually was looking for well hidden cameras. Coming from surveillance myself, I found the camera camoflage cool!

I love what I do for a living and hopefully someday I will be able to do this kind of work at wdw. I'm sure working there would diminish a little of the "magic" for myself, but I would reap the reward of protecting it for others.

Perhaps one day we'll both end up there. I'd like to do the same thing.

I do the camera hunt too. I like finding the ones that are worked into the theme or decor.

Mrs. Skippy loves to see all the vacation photos when we come back from the trip

I do not see any options to send a PM. Maybe there is a post count before this is enabled?

After I registered, the bot sent me a PM and it stated I had 1 message and was allowed 0!
