Yesterday my breaks were royally messed up but usually they come right about the time I'm ready for them. Guess I'm just lucky or something.

Recently, someone filed a class action suit against Cedar Fair/Knott's Berry Farm, and an investigation found out they, not surprisingly, screwed us out of breaks and lunches sometimes. I just got my share of the payout. I'm gonna open an account at a credit union with it--don't trust banks. I keep saving my money from my part-time job at church (janitorial), I could bust out of the shelter I'm in.

What was the period of the suit? I never got anything related to this, but then again, I was there before you.

I have the letter still in my wallet, but it doesn't give the dates. I was there from late March 2003 to mid-December 2005. Try the site, http://www.gravesfirm.com, regarding Madison vs. Cedar Fair, Claim No. MADSN10316949.

No worries. I didn't think I was eligible, as I left the company (not by choice) within eight months of the buyout, and when the family still owned the park, we had few to no problems with missing breaks.

They only sent you a letter if you had more than $300 coming your way. Interestingly enough, I was told I'd get --without pulling that letter out again--over $340-odd, but in reality I got over $800. And as soon as I get around to getting to a credit union, I'm opening an account with it.

^ Yeah, I got a buttload off that settlement as well.

RadioShack is having one open up right as I'm on my way out as well. Apparently someone complained about making employees drive around to pick up product from other stores while not being compensated. Wonder how much I'll get off of that one.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

Purpie and I got packages today for a settlement against Aramark. When the Disney one happened a few years back, we opted out, because we'd never had problems with breaks or lunches at DL. However, we both were victims from Aramark.

Hey, I just got a check in the mail -- my share of a class action against Expedia. It's a windfall... I plan to blow the entire $1.87 on a 2-liter bottle of soda!!
