Tonight's episode of CSI on CBS dealt with a derailment of a rollercoaster killing 5 people. It's seems to me that this may have been inspired by the recent accident at BTMRR. Although I will not tell you the actual cause of the ride malfuntion in the show, it did deal with loose bolts and budget cuts in the mantainence hours. It seems to coincidental to me and the timing is just about right to produce and air a show of this nature. Discuss.

CSI does often grab stories "from the headlines"
In this case, though, I dunno. I don't know enough about what happened at Thunder to hazard a guess.

I had wish I'd seen that episode. Although from what you had just said I think that it may be a slight way to go after Disney. It seems like very few networks, weither it's CNN, or CBS, they are afaraid of showing Disney in a bad light.

It was a great episode, altho I missed the first 20 minutes of it. I agree it seems a lot like it was inspired by BTMRR
