In Vermont we used to call that...early summer!

PS. I just found out that we have no smilies that indicate ice or snow! A whole section of the country totally ignored.

Years ago I worked for Northern Telecom in California. Our sister division was in Belleville, Ontario. My first trip up there was in the dead of winter. One of the things I saw was every neighborhood has at least one dad built ice rink in an empty lot for the kids to skate on.

Fast forward a lotta years and I'm running a corporate demo center. I don't know how he got in but we had Jeff Friesen of the hockey playing San Jose Sharks come in for a briefing. Apparently, he had invested a good chunk of money in us and wanted to see what we did.

A few months later Jeff came back with the whole Sharks team for another briefing. They had all bought our stock. It was very apparent that none of them had any technical background so I was trying to come up with analogies to explain what our products did.

I can't remember why I used it but I said, "It's like when you were kids and your dads would make a hockey rink down the block on an empty lot." That really woke them up.

They asked how I knew that and I told them about Northern and seeing them in Belleville. One of the guys grew up in Belleville so now we're all long lost friends.

They said they were all going out to dinner after we finished up and insisted I go along. Those guys lived up the the beer drinking standards set by the McKenzie brothers in Strange Brew.

Well, not quite. The dogs like running around on the pool when it freezes, but the patio furniture is already tucked snugly away by then.

This has nothing to do with Fruity Drink Land except that I bile a lot.

"I think it is just terrible and disgusting how everyone has treated Lance Armstrong, especially after what he achieved, winning seven Tour de France races while on drugs. When I was on drugs, I couldn't even find my bike." - Willie Nelson

Is it Willie Nelson or Lance Armstrong that raises your bile? Or is it acid reflux? Acid reflux is pretty common, especially as you age.

If you bile while you bike, does that make a mess?

Fat thumb the keyboard and there's nowhere to hide.

Interestingly, if you do a lot of distance riding, acid reflux is common.

A tourist shot this yesterday in Kihei.

Forget the bike and bile, this'll tighten your sphincter.
