How they figure that a 12 year old cat is the equivelent of a 111 year old human, I'll never know. I'm aware there are several formulas for estimating a cat's age, but the one I use would make him the equivelant of a 62 year old human. But considering the circumstances, I don't think it would be appropriate right now to dun Casper's grieving owner for back bus fare. The scale I use is a one year old cat is equal to an 18 year old human, add four years to the cat's age for every year after that. So when Tripod has her 19th birthday in April, she'll be the equivelant of a 90 year old human.

Age

1 = 18

2= 22

3= 26

4 = 30 etc.

Oldest cat on record was Cremepuff, aged 38 years 3 days when she died. That makes her equivelant to a 166 year old human.
