I always wondered why Gumby had a slanted head; now I know. All along, I thought it was so he could be told apart from the evil Blockheads. I had both Gumby and Pokey dolls, with accessories for Western adventures--a sheriff's star, gun and holster belt, cowboy hat and lasso for Gumby, and a saddle and bridle for Pokey. All have vanished over the years--though maybe in some hidden place, I may still have Gumby and Pokey. But as much stuff that got thrown out or given away during my last move, I don't know. I'm amazed I still have my troll dolls.

I was shocked to hear the news as I grew up watching Davey and Goliath and Gumby. Both shows were fun to watch and great to watch in their original form (in the case of GUMBY in the 1980s, I detested the new musical scores for older shorts.)

RIP and thanks Art Clokey.

Gumby was a real favorite after Disney Characters. He was fascinating to watch. Thanks Art Clocky. RIP
