Rock-It the Robot

this is neat. this guy built a 9 foot tall robot puppet that he uses at shows and fairs all over the country.

Hey, Rock-It's really grown up! Little Wallaby and I did some promo footage for him at the Portland International Auto Show one year. Creator is one of those genius performer types. Good times.

Nice to see he's still at it. Because the creator is original in his concepts, I have to prefer Rock-It. He also works to create a unique product.

You should see the things he does with gyrocompasses!

Well, okay, Showbot is also cool, but Rock-it was funny when he interacted with the crowd. But each has their own giftings, or programming, or whatever you choose to call it.

This is just damn spooky,of course the one on the Segway was more articulate. IMHO.

well yeah, because Rock-It is a modern version of a japanese rod puppet.
the actor is in the middle. a Showbot is about the height of the actor on level with the people, and is based on the segway tech. one generation of Rock-It was 13 feet tall I heard.
