Advice Needed....

Hey all,
So my CP Contract term is coming to an end soon, and I need to start thinking about where to go from here.
I definately want to go back to being a CR, though I could also do CT as well. At the same time, I want out of my area/LOB for a whole litany of reasons. Transferring back to DLR is out of the question, since I now go to school in Orlando.
I'm majoring in Hospitality Management, so I would really like to apply for a position in Resort Guest Services or Concierge. From talking to some CPs in those areas, as well as looking at EHH, it seems that they're looking for some people to work 3rd Shift in those areas - which I'm certainly willing to do (I'm a night owl as is, anyway).
Does this sound feasible to anyone? Would I be laughed out of Casting for even applying for a position in those roles, with the way the economy is at the moment? Anyone have any tips on what to expect if I'm able to get an interview? And if I do somehow get a job, how are they about working around CR/CT availability?
If that doesn't work, I could always apply for Attractions or something. And barring that, I hear Universal Orlando always looks favourably on having WDP&R experience on your resume....
