*Please note I visited this attraction on my way out of town thursday. I just got to a point with reception to post it. My apologies.

I just had the opportunity to walk through the Halloween mazes at Sinister Pointe in Brea, CA. including the maze based off of. Silent Hill. For those that don't know what Silent Hill is, shame on you. For the rest of you I have to say I rather enjoyed myself. But before we get to that, there is a whole 'nother to look at.

"Fear" is an interactive maze that asks you to face your fears by completing tasks before being allowed to proceed to the area. For example the first room has you grab two wires which opens up a door to your left. There are several such rooms throughout the maze that test all sorts of fears including claustrophobia (that one was cool). Its kind of a nifty idea that couldn't be done at a more crowded event such as Knott's Scary Farm. Oh and one more thing, don't forget to bring you night vision goggles cause this one is dark. I mean pitch black at points, so much so your lovable puppy dog of an Admin actually got lost. Chalk that up to a missing monster and me walking into a hidey hole. I am proud that I never once turned on my flashlight eventually finding my way out.

After surviving all the tests of "Fear" I made my way over to "Silent Hill." The first thing you walk into is the dismembered body that hangs on the fence, an image from both the first game and the movie. From that point there we're not a lot of direct images from the series but a lot of areas that give the general feel of the "otherworld" that we've seen over and over again. Towards the end is when the maze really shined. Without giving anything away there were a few key encounters that you would expect and few that you wouldn't, all were from the film instead of the games but I'm not complaining the creatures from the film in my mind, were perfect. I would have liked a little more variety in the music. The same track from SH3 continuously looped over and over. Different music for different areas would have been nice. All in all Sinister Pointe was worth the 20 bucks if only to see the nurses in the flesh.
