So just exactly where does a WDW Cast Member go on vacation?

No, good guess, but we aren't paid enough to afford visiting TDL. That's right, Disneyland.

SWMBO and I will be in town June 20 thru July 2, and all the time not consumed by family visits will be at DL. Thus three questions:

1. What's the discount and availability at the three DLR hotels?

2. Which hotel (Disney or other) should I pick -- remembering that I'm recovering from a torn Achilles tendon and want to minimize walking?

3. Who wants to get together to bend elbows and swap lies?

 When I say I'm going on vacation to get away from WDW I get looks and comments along the lines of "are you crazy". I did DL last May, and I'm going again in September :)

well, when you call for reservations ask for rate plan acm if it's available...

while the DLH doesn't have a shuttle you can rent a wheelchair at the hotel and use it for both parks...

Since we're leaving early on Friday 2 June, this means that Thursday 24 June is the date. Is this good for everyone? If so, y'all want to pick a time and place? I'll have wheels.

FWIW, I have fond memories of bent elbows at Acapulco, too. Can't get decent California-style margaritas in Florida.

Thanks. When I tried to access rate information from the Portal -- guest or cast -- it gives me a screen that advises me to drop by the nearest TEAM Center for assistance. Sort of a non-starter, seeing as we don't have them at WDW.

Thanks, I'll try that. Is that the CM rate?

I'm very familiar with the DLR area. Grew up nearby and visited since that stupid carnival opened in the parking lot. (It's not still there, is it?)

I'm out of the wheelchair and walking now, but I hit a brick wall after about four hours, so I want to minimize unnecessary mileage.

BTW, CMs can rent wheelchairs in WDW parks for free. Does DL offer that perq?
