Nearly There, + a Warning.

Alright, I leave for Anaheim again in about 2 weeks for BlizzCon. We depart on Monday, August 17 by train which will get us in late on Wednesday, August 19. So, Thursday, August 20 I think it would be fun to have a breakfast meet(I already have plans for lunch and dinner) which could be in or out of the park, it doesn't matter to me. I do have one question those of you that might know, that night, a bunch of people from BlizzCon are going to Medieval Times, one of which is me. I am not going to have a car when I am down there so I have been looking into other forms of transportation that are somewhat inexpensive, is there any service you can suggest(if not I already have the bus figured out)?

Now for the warning, some BlizzCon attendees are also planning a Disneyland raid for which a couple of people have created achievements. Most of them are harmless, but some of them are very dangerous and as much as I want to think people will be smart enough to not do those ones, I also know that there are SGs in the world who will do something simply because they read it online. So as a heads up, you can find the achievements in this thread.

Could you translate into English?

Most of the ones I saw, seemed like they would be annoying to other guests and setting up the participant to appear like an idiot. (Trying to irritate a security officer by commenting on their badge or telling a crying child to cry more.) I don't know what they mean by "fight" so those might be the ones you are talking about.
The one poster farther down that suggests getting out of the ride vehicle during the ride and walking around...Now that's a stupid guest trick.

Hmm, I have translated Shakespeare into English, but I am not sure I could translate this dialect of Geek into English. But I can tell you the dialect, if that helps any, it is World of Warcraft Raid Speak.

That's just it, I don't think it can be translated, it can only really be understood. I have learned to understand and speak it, but translation is impossible.

Also, if anyone is interested in the breakfast meet, let me know and we can start working something out.

I'm not into this, but it seems like they're going to get earmuffs to wear while riding Small World, and while riding Mr. Toad and a couple other rides they're going to be screaming slogans, or singing along to songs. What concerns me is their plan to duel with lightsabers until they are kicked out of the park, plus getting out of a ride while it's running and exit, thus also getting kicked out of the park. Plus the annoying of security guards and harassing crying children. Why they want to deliberately get kicked out of the park I don't know. That to me seems to be the ultimate SGT. And I don't think they'll be allowed into the park in costume.

As a hypothetical, that's really funny...

If they actually TRIED any of it... that's SGlyness.

Well... except a few. Like "Wear Mouse Ears for the Duration" and "Avoid being hugged by any characters." That's pretty doable.

8^)

Nope, doesn't look like it died at that time. Also, I don't need luck to find you, I know where you'll be...

That's kind of why I posted it, it's funny when you think about it, but I am sure that there are some teens that will read it and actually try some of the SGy suggestions, hence the warning.

Anyway, I leave on Monday, so if anyone is interested in a SGT meet over breakfast let me know so we can figure it out. Even if we don't have a meet I will probably still be in the parks the morning of the 20th so if you want me to drop by and say hello send me a message saying when and where and I will do my best to visit.

Also, I have just learned that I am going to be headed back that over over labor day weekend, but it won't be Anaheim that time, it will be San Diego and we will be visiting Sea World. So, as I mentioned in another thread, please turn the magnet off, I am starting to bounce back to So. Cal. so fast that I think I am getting whiplash. :( ;)
