I put this on the accident thread but wanted to make sure everyone saw it so I'm putting it here separately. A July 11 vigil is being planned in Celebration. Visit this Facebook link for details:

Update: I posted in our intranet to see if it's still on, and someone here in town said they saw it on the news yesterday. That must mean it's still on but also that the news jackals will probably be there.

Friends,

I've decided that my medical condition is not compatible with the situation I expect to find at Celebration this evening (too few public restrooms).

Know that I am with you in spirit, and that I would be there in person as well if I thought I could.

I could sneak you into the one at the pool with my resident ID, but it would probably be too far of a sprint! It's going to be a circus anyway. People on the intranet said the news crews were here two hours before the vigil is even scheduled to start. I'm planning to leave shortly but the weather is looking vicious right now. I left a message for Bru to see if she is there, as I know she was planning to come early.

just wanted to let you all know that February called me from her hotel. She made it back safe and sound. Needless to say she was moved beyond words by the entire experience and all the people involved. I'm sure she will provide you with all the details when she returns home.

My love goes out to all the CMs!

Was Bru in the picture that Syndrome posted in her article about the vigil?

No, she was under one of the umbrellas towards the far side (it was drizzling pretty good). Ironically, someone mentioned her on our community intranet...he must have gotten into a conversation with her and discovered that she had flown in just for the vigil.

hey guys

I'm back, and I'm exhausted- but wanted you to know the vigil was beautiful and I was so honored to be able to be there.

To all that I met who may be lurking or who post here, please know each one of you has made an indelible impression on me and I won't forget you. I spent the entire (long, delayed) flight home tonight thinking about everyone I was lucky enough to get to meet. I just wish it had been under any other circumstances. thanks to everyone who truly opened their arms and literally embraced me (the hand shakes rocked too)

must sleep had like four hours in the past three days total.

I am grateful that I went- and humbled by the experience.

Disney people truly are the finest people anywhere.

hugs to all
