We celebrated last night at Outback, with my family, my sister-in-law's family, my wife's parents, and my parents. Today, my wife and kids surprised me with a new game for the PS3, then we had a great morning at church and had burgers for lunch. The afternoon has been quiet. Great day so far!

Kicking myself because I forgot to get my dad a card. Dang, I hate when that happens! Growing old is a you-know-what!

I took my daughter to the local small amusement park, and got a nice surprise. As we were going through the que for the log flume ride, I went to give th attendant the required 6 tickets. He handed them back, and said 'Happy Fathers Day"! :D: What a cool surprise. He then did it for the dad behind us in line as well.
Such a small gesture, and whether it was park policy that day, or a ride operator trying to make a little magic on his own, it was appreciated! The value of the tickets might be about 5$, but by saving the tickets for who knows how many dads, those dads were able to take their kids on another ride.
Cool. Disney style magic, over 2000 miles from a Disney park.

This father's day was a special one. Abby turned 4! We went to Epcot for breakfast with the princesses at Akershus and then to MK for rides. I was shocked that I did not get many father's day wishes, although my brother in law did. I had to go back to the room twice to get stuff I kept forgetting, mainly so Abby could get her birthday card. I was more concerned with it being Abby's big day, so the spotlight on her was fine with me. I did finally get some well-wishes, and then the in-laws watched the girls so we could hit MK until 3AM again! That was an awesome night, we got three rides on BTMRR, all without having to get out!

For some reason I was 'so' proud.

Happy (late) Father's Day and I'll look for something Pirate-y or Princess-y for Abby's B-Day (Hints are good! ;) )
