I have a hard time finding the words to describe this video. All I can say is, it must have been very interesting to be there when it happened, here ya go;

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I still haven't found something similar I witnessed at WDW in the rose garden. They thought they were just there for a wedding shoot when someone showed up with a ring. This was quite awhile ago before they announced the theme for the year.

It was obviously staged, rehearsed, cameras planted, even some of the guest reactions looked "acted" to me. BUT... was she in on it, or was it an actual proposal?DLRFantasmic!Dan wrote:It was all staged, not real, fake, all planned out.

That's the real question isn't it?
If she WAS in on it then kudos to her for great acting, because she looks simultaneously flattered and mortified for most of it.

Disney let them do it and helped.BRWombat wrote:It was obviously staged, rehearsed, cameras planted, even some of the guest reactions looked "acted" to me. BUT... was she in on it, or was it an actual proposal?
I reconize one of the girls as a disney charactor actor.
I think Hunter the fairy is one of her "personas"
and I think the short blond girl is a "tink" hmm, I tink...

Re: Disneyland Musical Marriage Proposal
Well, of course the "moment" was staged. The area was even roped off and there were lights shining on the street.
That's why I couldn't find the words to describe the video, it started out kind of "normal" then turned very strange.
I mean, come on FantasmicDan, do you really think that I actually believed random people would start singing and dancing?
Its unnecessary to even have to state that it was staged.
