It finally happened. I was signed off on the classics. At least it's east and not west so I get the cool rides (Pan, Toad, Alice, Tea Cups and Carrousel (sp? I don't feel like looking it up)).
Well, at least I'll be able to take my share of the overtime this summer.

Hey, at least it is a change of scenery. My favorite was when I would be on Matterhorn for a few months, and then I would have a random routes shift. Inevitably, you would be at a ride with some newbie who had known it for about a month, and they felt that they were obligated to make sure you knew what you were doing. Little did they know I was a lead on both sides and a tainer.

^^^^
That was also my favorate. One time I was picking up some OT back in my former area at the Magic Kingdom, and there was some new hire attempting to tell me what to do. . . Although little did he know i practacally wrote the OG, and I was his trainers trainer. Although this CP thought I was some new guy and he just had to tell me what to do.

routes...lucky you (not)...
one girl always used to make us laugh on book by sticking her leg out of the cab on Casey Jr and kind of rotating it like the catepiller in the old Christmas parade... at least you can wave hi to everyone...
as for the rookies...can't live with 'em, can't live with 'em

I spent my first week out there. It's not so bad. It's not so good either. I've come to the realization that working that actual rides isn't bad but working with the actual cast members is. Let me tell you a little story...
I broke down Pan because this lady was arguing with me because I wouldn't let her 6 and 5 year olds on by themselves and I wouldn't let 4 people ride in a boat. It broke down because she wouldn't get her kids out and we backed up. Big deal right? Shit happens. Well I have my unloader yelling at me to send it send it send it. Whatever. After the downtime I bumped him and asked him nicely (and I know I was being totally chill about it because I can be a real bitch sometimes) to please not yell at me when there's an obvious reason why I'm not sending the boat. Well he just fuh-lipped out! I mean this guy went over the edge and down the mountain side. It was unbelievable.
Well, at least I'll have some entertainment while I'm out there.

Yes, the routes is nothing if not full 'o drama 24/7. I don't miss the drama...
I rehired for summer because I am a teacher and need a job, and I said I would go back to attractions, but also said I would go to stores. SCORE! Now I am going to stores on MainStreet, and I will be in the air conditioned Emproium all summer.
Have fun burning at Dumbo and collecting spit covered feathers!

^ Haha! I'll have to come and harass ya! Luckily I haven't learned west yet. I hear nothing but horror stories about Dumbo.
