Stupid Guest Tricks

the stock room looked so empty i thought i'd make a topic to add.
but anyways i totally love working in merchandise but i was wondering how it would be to work in attractions. i mean i like to keep busy and i know working in a big store like i do now...i keep pretty busy...is attractions really what it's cracked up to be? and whatta bout the smaller stores in disneyland are they fun to work in? i work in wod...the biggest one of all and it's pretty fun...but i've been thinking about switching into the park... feed back please!

Well I can vouch for working in stores in the park.

I know what it's like to move from a big complex to a small one. I worked at the Emporium back when it was still the biggest complex in the resort, and I always kept busy back then; I had a good experience overall.

Basically I got sick of the Emporium after WOD/DCA opened so I moved out to where I work to this day, the Main Entrance stores complex, which was at the time one of the smallest complexes in the resort as far as store size. Imagine moving from an area where one fully staffed store has about 40-60 CMs at one time to an area where most of the stores have less than 5 CMs at a fully staffed location. The thing I liked about it was there was more contact with leads and managers (this turned out to be a good and a bad thing) and most of the leads, managers, and CMs knew me by name without having to read my nametag after about a week.

As far as transferring to a smaller store complex in the parks, I'd say it's a double-edged sword. I worked at WOD once and it was really weird being taken out of my element. It all depends on the type of people you get along with, how you're used to working, and how well you adapt to change.
