You Are In A Disney Park, Learn Your Disney Characters.

It happens where characters get called out different characters names. It's common that Pluto gets called "Goofy," and vice versa.

There was an incident where I was with the Mad Hatter one day in Town Square. He was doing his Meet N Greet as usual. I overheard this one lady tell her daughter to take a picture with............... wait for it................ wait for it........................ WILLY WONKA!!! LOL!! I couldn't help but laugh at the sound of it. Sure......... anyone can be confused by a guy with a giant hat!! I mean, seriously.

This one happened to me about a week ago. I was alone in the parks, like I usually do. I had a mini plush Stitch attached to my backpack. I take him everywhere I go when I go to Disneyland, he's my Disneyland buddy when I have no one to go with. So, anyways, I was standing in line around park opening waiting to get in, when all of a sudden, I overheard a mother telling her child that Stitch was a "Kitty Cat!" LOL, I was like, "WTF!", :p: I turned to the mother and smiled at her and she replied that they were looking at my "Kitty Cat." How can one mistaken Stitch for a Kitty Cat? :D

Its always funny when people don't know who certain characters are!

Get this;
A few years ago, I was watching Daisy Duck greet people in front of the fire station, and this couple nearby were talking among themselves trying to figure out who she was, one of them suggested.....Daffy Duck.

It happens with the "Peanuts" characters too!

Woodstock often gets called "Woodchuck" or worse "Tweety"
Schroeder gets sometimes mistaken for Linus.
More common is Snoopy's Flying Ace persona being referred to as the Red Baron. No that is the guy the Flying Ace is chasing!
The strangest thing I ever heard Snoopy be mistaken for is "Barney". By a three-year old boy. That was just too funny!

I've gotten used to it by now. There are many guests who get into line to see the characters, without even knowing who the character was. Here are some of my favorites:
*Gov. Ratcliffe- Captain Hook
*Mr. Smee- Gepetto, Santa, one of the 7 Dwarves, and here is my favorite one...Smiley the 8th Dwarve. I am dead serious!!
*Jiminy- giant bug, cockroach
*Horace- Goofy
*June- Dora
*Quincy- Diego
*Handy Manny- Bob the Builder
*Goliath- Simba

June? Quincy? Playhouse Disney characters perhaps? Not familiar with these myself

Ok I've made this mistake myself. I only know some of these characters from hearing about them as my kids are past Playhouse age.

I used to work At Stitches Great Mistake at WDW ( as if it was located anywhere else ) and I have had people call him a cat.... I look them straight in the eye and say that accourding to Pleeklee, knower of all things Earth, the Trog is known as a "Rare Blue Ectoplasm Detection Dog" which is part of the hound dog family.

Which by the way is what Lilo calls Stitch when she enters him in a Dog Show on the Big Island.

June and Quincy are 2 of the Little Einsteins, on Playhouse Disney. But Dora and Diego are from Nick!

I was at Spaghetti Factory with my family for dinner and someone asked me about my job and somehow the conversation turns to characters and the following conversation happens:

My Aunt: "What is Jimminy Cricket, anyways? Like an ant?"
My Mom: "I think he's a grasshopper"
My Cousin & I simultaneously: "...HE'S A CRICKET! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

It's gone down in family legend.
