Don Koharski will not be having donuts with his breakfast

Longtime NHL Referee Don Koharski retired this week, after calling 1,719 games in the league.

Koharski may be best remembered for being part of an off-ice rant from former NJ Devils Coach Jim Schoenfeld, where Schoenfeld encouraged Koharski to "have another donut, you fat pig". (This incident also lead to a 1 day walkout on the part of the NHL referees after a court issued an injunction allowing Schoenfeld to coach the next game, despite being suspended by the league for a game)

Unconfirmed rumors are saying that Koho's retirement present from the Tampa Bay Lightning (the home team for his last game) included a Dunkin Donuts gift certificate.

Which would mean you're fairly well versed in Lacrosse, no?

Koharski was, I believe, the longest-serving active referee in the NHL. For the past several years, he's worn #12.
