Do I go to McD's and tell you how to flip the burgers?

NO. So why would you come in to my job and tell ME what to do?
I don't know how many of you out there have to deal with being in a grouper position, but for me, its the worst. I work at Space Mountain and the seating is 6 people to a car, 3 and 3, apparently the WORST set up EVER because everyone is a group of 4 or 2, . You would think that people would go where you tell them, because they can see that you are working very fast, there are TONS of more people to go, and obviously you know what you're doing since you probably work here every day. Uhhh no. The guests obviously know much more about where they should go than you do.
The other day I had two grown women refusing to sit where my grouper had told them, instead wanting to go on completely different spots and ruining not only their row, but the next two, because everyone was confused and moved up or back a row. I was at a load position and quickly tried to fix it, but the guests just looked at me and said NO we want to go here and this is where we are staying, and apparently they though that was it. Another guest who was waiting behind them tried to help and told them, they need to fill all the spots, you will still be together, yadda yadda yadda. They looked at him and said NO. I tried again, still holding their rocket, so they were not getting in, and again they refused. Finally, after clearing the whole dock and basically holding up the entire ride, the gentleman that was trying to help looked at me and said "If I go with them, will that fix it?". Unfortunately, it did and I said yes. I brought up their rocket and the women go in with their kids, happy as clams, not caring one bit that is guy had just separated from his entire party to go with complete strangers just so they could get what they wanted.
This happens to me every day. Why do the guests think I am trying to punish them or something?? Are people this selfish when they are out in the real world too?? I don't understand.
