It looks like Disney is consolidating behind the scenes functions to reduce admin costs. The front line CMs may be safe if attendance stays steady.

I intend to help with the DLR attendance.

VERY GOOD POINT!!!!
Hmmm, I wonder if I can deduct the trips to DLR off income tax, as an expense to "help boost the entertainment industry"
heheheheheh

It would be better to write a book about DLR such as Grumpy Pirates Unofficial Pirate Guide to DLR. Where to find the rum and pub crawling across DLR could take up a whole chapter. Where to find brazen wenches and hearty fare for the pirates in your family. Write off your research trips to DLR.
I would write off DLR trips as therapy for my social skills and physical therapy.

I looked on Google and one of the story's read if you are covered by a union, you are ok. It is the salary cast members, and others who are being let off.
My friend is the union president for Disneyland foods. I got a text this morning that a top official from TDA Lisa Woods was laid off. What a bummer. :(

Just heard a quick, interesting question: What's going on with the Chief Magic Officer?

I watched the news at noon here in San Diego, and they had a story about the layoff notices going out today.
The story said that 600 would be receiving pick slips today, and that the service would be consoldated with DLR and WDW.
not good.

I'm wondering: do part time cast members have the opportunity to join the unions? Reason I'm asking is because my transfer to part time from my Professional Internship was accepted. I'll be working in Quick Service at Pop Century and I'm wondering if I can join the union. If it means protecting my job, I'll do it.
