You know, I'm pretty surprised noone's mentioned this yet, especially given the SGT qualities present, as well as the fact that one can't turn on a television here in Southern California (or anywhere else, for that matter) without hearing about it

When I was in High School, I remember my U.S. Government teacher saying that our state's attitudes towards things like this were eventually going to cause the Middle Class to flee.

Two years later, now that I pay taxes, I completely understand what she means :( .

What was the doctor thinking?

I have read several threads on other boards, and seem to see it on CNN and fox about every ten minutes, (plus nightly news) and CNN on-line.

I must say that I now believe that she is nothing more that a nut job, and her parents have enabled her to do that.

The REALLY sad part is all those kids. They are gonna have a tough time. I just hope tht CPS steps in and takes care of them, because its obvious that she, and her family, are in no way prepaired to take care of the eight babies, let alone the other six kids. And Two of them have some problems already.

And several doctors that are experts in multiple births say that the odds are that some of the babies could develop problems in the next few months.

DW and I were talking about this, and it SEEMS like we (the public) are really not getting the full story here. Was she going to be a surrgote mom and then the "plan" backfired?

or is she simply addicted to haveing babies?

in the end, the kids are the ones that are going to lose. not the adults.

Yup. Too true.

I think she is just addicted to the attention one gets while pregnant and having infants ala the little dolts on Maury Povich who are 12 and trying to get pregnant. BIG difference between childbirth and being a good parent.
I understand that 3 of her older kids have special needs, and at least one has autism. She has obviously ignored any sort of genetic counseling, or any psychological counseling as well. She got her wish, everyone is watching her like a hawk, and I don't think it will be too long before those kids are taken away from her.
Our tax dollars will be put to work for her family for many years to come :mad:

Whatever happened, it's time for some sterilization.

What I want to know is why in the world she chose to have all eight at once...that shows that she's not only crazy, but has no self-preservation instincts.

Maybe she'll get on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Ford will give her a bus.

Maybe when the theme of the season is "Morons" instead of those ungrateful "Heroes" they have been doing this season...

I heard on the news that she wanted 2 more and had all 8. If I were able to have kids, I would have 1 of each and stop. 14 would not fit in my place. 14 kids would make me pull out my hair.
