Chef Mickeys SG family

Last week we saw a sad SG family at Chef Mickeys. Having breakfast on the morning of the 23rd, we were seated next to Ignorant Lady and her 3 Ignorant Kids. The Kids are in the 8-12 year old range.
My daughter was made Chef of the Day. :) Our waitress (Merilee) brought her a certificate, and a cupcake decorating kit to decorate her own cupcakes. My daughter was thrilled.
Ignorant mom notices this, and demands to know where the the cupcakes are for her kids. Why does THAT girl get one. Merilee explains the Chef of the day to the SG, who remains unsatisfied. to Placate her the waitress brings out 3 cupcakes, and the decorating stuff, all on one plate, for the kids to share. this apparently is not good enough. What follows happened while I was on a return trip to the buffet, and was witnessed by my Mom:

While two of the sisters make a mess with thier cupcakes, the one sitting closest to my daughter reaches over, and HELPS HERSELF to my daughters cupcake toppings, grabbing a big handfull of sprinkles!

After stuffing these in her mouth, she reaches back for more! At this point the Ignorant Mom grabs her by the arm and pulls her back. But not a word is said by the SG to her kid
.

My Mom is speechless. My daughter is so enthralled with her cupcake project she did not even notice. When I return to the table, Mom asks me to put my arm across the table, and block the Ignorant Kid from more grabbing, which I see was about to happen. We remove the topping the moocher contaminated and block my happy kid from the intrusions by the ignorant family. After some arguing with the waitress about the bill, the other family finally leaves! It appeared they wanted to get my DDE discount applied to their bill too !

Through all this the SG mother has not said a single word to my family, and not a polite word to Merilee her server. Merrilee handled this with much grace and professionalism. and far more patience than the Ignorant Family deserved.

Kudos to Merilee! I hope I am spelling her name correctly!

Very Sad! I am sorry your meal was spoiled by those Yahoos, but being the evil person I am, I would have said something like,
" I hope your little sweetheart had all of her immunizations, we still haven't quite figured out why ours gets those bad rashes....."
Just kidding, that's REALLY even too naughty for me! :p:

I lveo your thinking DisneyMom.

At least your daughter had fun and that is all that mattered. All out screamfests may occur so best to work around problems and let your kid see nothing but their shining moment.

What I Did on Vacation

Option A: Daddy and a lady got into a big fight and screamed and there was a big mess.
Option B: I was named Chef of the Day at Chef Mickeys at WDW. Here are pictures of my cupcake that I decorated all by myself. His is a picture of me with Chef Mickey and one of the yummy breakfast. Here is the certificate they gave me. Auntie Becky framed it for me.

So is it option A or B?

I just hope that woman eventually grows up.

Being a low key Canadian, I would not have screamed at her. Not my style. Although I once did yell at a Rabbi at a baseball game.... but I digress.
My thoughts were "HERE"S YOUR SIGN !" and my wife said "now you have something to post on SGT !"

So was the Rabbi an umpire or peanut vendor?
Do Digress please. Glad you chose option B.

He was chaperoning a group of about 20 kids 8-12 years old, to a baseball game. their behavior was beyond bad. actually climbing over other fans to move between rows, throwing food off the upper deck, (we were up in the cheap seats), spilling stuff on other fans, using very crude language. easily the worst behaved, most out of control pre teens I have ever seen. He just sat there, with a couple of other adults, ignoring the chaos caused by his flock. He and the other two adults were the only ones of the group watching the game.
Other fans were moving away from them. Some complained to the ushers, who did nothing. The rabbi ( that is how he was addressed by the kids) just ignored the chaos created by his charges. when he did tell them to settle down, they ignored him.
Once I had enough (the 3rd inning) I turned arround and asked the three adults which one was responsible for the group of pre teens. He said "I am".
He then got a full volume lecture on how he should be "**cking ashamed of the behavior of his group. Had he noticed how many people had vacated their seats and left due to the disturbance they were causing? when they are out as a group, they represent the school they are from, and they were being very poor representatives"
I may also have promised to see that they were ejected from the stadium if they did not settle down. I asked for the name of the school or group they were from, and he refused to provide it. But the volume of my tirade scared the hooligans into behaving, and got applause from the remaining fans nearby. They left not long after !

Then I realized 'I just yelled at a rabbi"

So your original post was not your first SG story, thank you for explaining and that rabbi was not a very good rabbi obviously.

No, it certainly was not the first SG story. Just the first posted here. The Rabbi incident happened at least ten years ago, when the Blue Jays were worth going out to see.
