Stupid Guest Tricks

Ok, so we received our February Visitors Guide. The picture on it is kind of funny. I swear that this was the exact same picture on the Feb. 2007 edition. Check this out:




I have to ask, do you think someone could spring for a day ticket to get a picture of Pluto without a Santa hat for your FEBRUARY issue? Or at least use a different picture?

Seems like they tired to cover the hat up with the words.

They probably couldn't afford a new one, just went ot the file and pulled the old one!

Heck, they should have just asked for some people to send in their photos!

I think they need someone to go out at random and take odd ball pictures of the park and print them. Pluto with a Santa's cap is way to late for January. So, when it comes up for 4th of July...The Easter Bunny will be on it.

What's sad, they could have probably contacted DLR Marketing or Public Relations and gotten a perfectly good publicity picture to use, and probably at a relatively low price too....

Maybe they just want to be early for Christmas 2009.

I would ask what the lead time is on printing the magazine? Maybe they started putting it together in December, so used the Santa hat picture. Hey, production crews have off days too! But with this economy, it was probably cheaper to use a stock photo instead of taking a new one. They probably couldn't crop the hat out of the picture without removing a substantial amount of Pluto's head.

If the park needs some better pictures, they need to catch SG off guard and snap their pictures. Inside the maps they should have an area do's and don'ts inside the park.
