Stupid Guest Tricks

There are some huge storm cells passing to the north of Hawaii. These cause Kona winds(winds out of the south). Normally it's not a big deal but the weather predictions are gusts of 40 to 50 mph. It's bad enough that all the public schools have been closed for Friday.

It'll be interesting to see how the SG tourists react. :twisted:

I can already tell you how they'll react, from experience. They'll demand that the State Government put up the giant dome over the islands and turn the Mauna Kea thermostat up a bit. :twisted:

As to the non-SG tourists...I'm sure BW and family will find something to do, lol. Given a good strong headwind and a big starting hop off a hill, they may even be able to Island Hop ;) ...

Speaking of a dome, in one of the farmer's almanacs I buy every year, one city had a bad winter and batted about the idea of putting a giant dome over the city to protect it from winter storms. The following summer, they had record high temps, and wisely realized they would've gotten cooked had they gone with the dome idea. Here it is--The Old Farmers Amanac, page 72, on the timeline for the article, "Is Global Warming On The Wane?", 1979--"Plan for the Study of Dome Over Town is Approved', Winooski, VT; to protect the city from cold." The next entry, for 1980, says 'A brutal summer heat wave occurs in much of the United States. (Residents of Winooski realize that they would have fried to death under a dome.")

Now, if only we could convince SGs that domes protecting WDW/DLR don't exist.... :D:

I like the graphics. That storm is to kick up the surf for us. If it hits during high tide, some times Electric Street gets flooded. Watch out there is a threat of rain on Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

Wow, they closed the schools here today because it is too cold.

Mother Nature is having a lot of fun with us.
