Train Wars

Post by StupidGuestTricks Yahoo » Thu Jan 30, 2003 9:49 pm

It wasn't very crowded in Mickey's Toontown Fair that day, but it
certainly was hot enough. Mid-afternoon, and everyone -- cast and
guest alike -- were ready for their nap. Alas, only the kids in
strollers were getting any peace.

The Toontown Railroad Station provided only a little shade, but the
small number of families waiting as the locomotive whistled it's
approach to the station guaranteed that there would be seats enough
for all. That wasn't going to be good enough, unfortunately.

As soon as the gate was opened, two overheated fathers tried to lay
claim to the same seat on the train by tossing their strollers onto
it at the same time. Never mind that there were whole cars of empty
seats, both insisted that only their family was entitled to that
particular seat and none other would do.

As their wives looked at each other in sad resignation, the two men
fell to fighting. First with undisnical language, then with their
fists. Other guests gave them a wide berth as they proceeded to vent
the frustrations of too long a day at the park upon each other.

The station conductor was watching from the edge of the crowd along
with the rest, and a guest anxiously asked, "Aren't you going to stop
them?"

"Nope," he replied, "Not for $6.50 an hour I'm not."

"But what are you going to do about it?" she demanded.

He pointed to the end of the platform, where another conductor was on
the telephone. "He's calling 911 now. When the fight is over, the
sheriff will take the winner, the paramedics will take the looser,
and I will take the train to Main Street and have lunch."
