The neon sign of Cafe Duck Butt was destroyed Sunday night, likely the victim of an overheated lamp ballast, fire officials said.

No other part of the karaoke bar on 901 Kawaihao Street was damaged during the blaze which occurred shortly after 7 p.m., fire Capt. Robert Main said.

Damage was estimated at between $500 and $1,000.
