A few things I noticed this past week down at the World.

1. Are cast members being "strongly encouraged" to wear the years-of-service pins on their name tags? It seems like many more had it than I've seen before.

2. What does "DH" mean on a bus marquee? For example, I saw busses going to Pop Century with "DHPC". The last two letters are obviously a resort code. Since every bus I saw with this was empty, I suspect it means "deadhead" or similar.

Also had a fun bus driver who spent the entire time yelling at the bus over the PA system... to the point where kids were crying because of her. WORST Cast Member I have ever seen. She also made sure her jacket was on and zipped far enough up that nobody could get her name. A shame, because then I would've likely reported her. Nobody should tarnish the name of cast members like that.

*IF* you are staying on property (which from your post I am guessing you were) they give you a card with a phone number on it. I kept this card in my wallet and used it a lot. The number is to the resort you are staying at. You can call it and ask to speak with any guest relations desk you may need. In your case I would have called the number and explained what the driver was doing,hold the phone up so the CM on the phone can hear the driver. and file a report with the time, date and location you are going from and to. Describe the driver in a much detail as you can. Explain that she was covering her name tag. ect. "They" (whom ever it is that need the information) can figure out who it is. (How many aporx 50 year old white women wearing glasses and red hair with a blue jacket, driving from MK to PC at 5:06pm can there be?) get the idea?


I used this card while in Epcot to request a supervisor after the CM told me the supervisor was too busy to come out and talk to me. Within sec a supervisor was there.

Never thought about that at the time... should've called while on board it. Oh well, now I know!

I did have the best Jungle Cruise ever on this trip at least... Cast Members are alive in a few places. :)

That driver was violating company policy in multiple ways. One way was covering her name tag, they are supposed to be on the outer layer of clothing and always visible.

We actually did write that down. I might try calling guest relations still, even though it's been a couple of days.

Making kids cry is distinctly un-Disney.

Before nailing this person to a wall and throwing rotten fruit...

What was she saying on the announcement? Sit down, get out of the doorway area?

In other words, what was the story that caused a child to cry? Was she announcing that the park was closed? Or trying to get the people on the bus to move back so that others could get on?

I think there is more to that story.

Oh, there is plenty more. And some of the things she was saying, I will admit, need to be said. But the problem was mainly not in what she was saying, but in how she was saying it.

To a family with a child in a stroller: "It's against the law to bring her on my bus in the stroller! It's not my rule, it's a federal law! Take her out of the stroller!" Later, to a girl carrying an open bottle of water (this is the one who started crying): "You can't bring that in here! Throw it away!" (Maybe asking her to put the cap on would've been enough?)

She was very snappy and rude about it, and that's what bothered me. Yes, people should not be eating or drinking on the bus. But what ever happened to the word please?

I overheard one family getting off the bus: "We are NEVER taking a Disney bus again."

It is her tone of voice that was bothersome apparently. Some kids cry if mommy tells them to put down their sippy cup or to move to another seat on the bus so I am with prior posters on finding out the whole story. She may have been sick and did not realize she was covering her badge. People have bad days and guests make sure that they let their kids push the buttons as much as is possible.

Ride operators and drivers of any form of transportation can and will talk over the ride or transportation spiel if there is a rule being broken. An open bottle of water could end up on the floor which means a wet mess to be cleaned up and possibility of another guest getting dirty or slipping. Buts drivers are legally required to demand that all strollers except for transport strollers must be folded if at all possible and all kids removed. The CM cannot smile and let people break the rules.

I think she was having a bad day. Next time try to get audio evidence or audiovisual evidence. All you need is the bus's number or license plate plus the time of day, loation and general discription of the driver.

Sorry that you had such a bad driver, so rare to hear of bad CMs.

Nope, we're just prouder to work there now that Eisner is gone.

Next time, just report the bus number (from the rear end), the exact time, and the route. We can figure out who it is.

Same goes for drivers deserving praise, only more so.
