Question about Line Jumpers/cutters

Okay, I'm wondering what the CM's opinion on this one is....
Every time I go to any park... be it WDW or Universal there are always those big groups that just start to walk to the front of the line claiming that their friends are just ahead. Now my group was already waiting in line for at least 15-30 mins when ever this would happen... What would happen if my hubby and I don't let these people past us in line? Is there a way that they could get us in trouble?
Not that I'm a mean person, but I don't think it's fair to us or the others in line. Besides, how do we know that they are telling the truth?

There isn't.
They're lying.

Based on the evil pin traders I ran into, YES. The only way you could get into trouble is if they all as a group lied about you. Like saying you said bad stuff or that they were in line and that you pushed them.
Basically the answer is NO. Parks do take seriously line cutting and do remove people from the ride or in really bad circumstances from the park. The park rules are that all the party has to get in line at once. A potty break is an exception usually but when you have a herd cutting they do remove them usually.
Bullies often threaten stuff that is not true and you will not get in trouble for not allowing people to pass you in line.

Hmmm, maybe if I tell the line cutters that the "official" policy is to go in the exit and ask the CM to let them on with the rest of their group when they get to load, that would be a polite way to discourage them ;)
Now, can I have a CM from here "make" it official for me? Pleeeeeeze? :p:

What Churchy says is probably true, but I wouldn't worry too much about it... just be ready. If they do say you got physical, be incredulous and calm, "Oh, you so did not just lie about me like that." Then, explain (CALMLY) to the Cast Member what happened. DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET HEATED and let them make asses of themselves. But ifit sounds like they are going to continue the accusation, now YOU request security.
Susi, I will have to find out about the policy. It's a good one, but I've never heard one way or the other.

Wht Wallaby says is probably true. CMs are more likely to believe you if you calmly explain things and do not cuss out the bad people or make a big melodramatic scene. In the end they will meet their match and pay dearly.

Take a cell phone photo of them pushing through. Then you have proof in hand.

I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't own a phone that has a camera on it. :( I'm lucky enough to have a "web browser" on it... but since it's prepaid, I can only go to tracfone.com on it...yeah me

I don't know that it's an official policy, but generally (and it does depend on the nature of the queue, some are more open than others) we would prefer if they didn't push through people and went to the exit. One it doesn't inconvenience other guests and two it gives us an opportunity to deny them boarding if the situation warrants it.

I get a kick out of how many SGs I see being sent back after jumping over from the stand-by line to the FastPass line...
