First time poster ^^ Hello. I work as a contractor to so face painting and other such things. Anyways.
My story
After working a nice day in the sun dealing with 2 year olds I go to my apartment and begin to get my mail. The grounds crew and a few tenants look at my funny( because I am in uniform). After I get my mail and walk to my door, the grounds crew actual drive up to me and say:
'So do you like work at BG down the road?"
"Yeah.'
"Well can I have some free tickets?"
I pause and just stare then walk off. In the very place I live SG are everywhere.
Has this ever happened to anyone else???
I find it funny that these people actually ask me that when I don't even know them.

Maybe they'd mow your carpet and prune your drapes in trade.

You could always answer something like - "If I ever get any free tickets, I will be glad to sell them to you!"
But if you are like me, the snappy comebacks always wait until after the event is done, :p:

When I worked at Knott's, I would occasionally get asked if I had any free tickets. I normally gave them to my nieces and nephew. The worst was this one jerk who hollered at me while I was crossing the street to get to the bus stop, saying he had some kind of needy kids group and wanted to know if I had any tickets. The guy was persistant, and worse, he was blocking traffic. First off, I would only get two, and then once a month or quarter--I forget. Come on, I can't possibly provide 25 tickets for a kids group! Idiot. Another reason I'm glad I no longer work at Knott's.

Why is it that if you work in any portion of the resort industry people think you can get them stuff?
I work at a hotel by Disneyland and the first thing I have had people ask me when they find out where I work is either, "Can you get me a free hotel room or some free theme park tickets?"
Look, my sister's husband is a doctor. But he's not going to give me antibiotics/an operation for free. Sheesh.

I wonder if you could say yes then drive them somewhere far away and have them wait like the middle of the Adirondaks or the desert, lol.

Glad I'm a counselor. No one ever asks for a free mental illness.

When my older brother worked at Knott's, us your sisters would ask for the tickets. He would take us once a year, :)
