I have SID and just came here from Disboards where two parents said their autistic/aspie kids lacked empathy. I can understand a person having impulse control issues as I see in in the autistic kids as well in my SID. I can understand a person seeing things in a certain viewpoint such as your seeing everything as a joke or having a joke. Not everyone has a perfectly wired brain and anyone thinking their brain is perfect will get a sound beating. You just have to fact the fact that not everyone has your viewpoint and where to draw the line. Just remember that some people are rather sensitive about their brain quirks or other issues.

Oh look lemon cookies.

We are definitely all weird in our own ways, but that is what is fun. Empathy can be practiced and learned, even by kids with autism. If some people do not care to try to learn, avoid them! ;)
