A lot of people over the last few months have asked me who or where is Tom Marrow? Well your Disney History lesson for this week explains it all to you.

In Tomorrowland, the complex that is now known as Stitches Great Escape has housed a few rides. Before current, it was Extraterrestrial Alien Encounter, Mission to Mars, and Flight to the Moon, in reverse order.

In the beginning of the parks conception, the race to the moon was a big deal and Walt wanted visitors to see what moon flight could be like in the years to come, so he had Imaginers develop a moon flight simulator. Flight to the moon was born.

Imagine walking into Stitches Great Escape first inside room known as the Receiving Area and seeing a Mission Control room. Do you want to guess who the Mission Control Officer was….. Yes that’s right, It was Tom Marrow.

Now later on, when it became Mission to Mars, Steve Johnson took over flight operations at Mission Control. Steve has seen then been demoted to Tomarrowland Skyview Traffic reporter, as heard in the TTA segment as you are leaving Mickey’s Star Traders heading to Space Mountain.

And as Paul Harvey would say….. And now you know the rest of the story!

To find out more about this ride and more from the past you can visit these resources....

I've not only seen all four of the shows at the Magic Kingdom complex, I saw all three of the shows at the Disneyland Space Center as well.

Oh, and one more data source for the early shows is at Iago & Zazu's Attraction of the Week.

On which point, anybody want to help me fix a slightly broken website?

What's wrong with it? I know HTML, CSS, and a few other things and could possibly help.

Whenever I go to Z&IAOTW, it promises music and pictures, but I never get the pictures, and only once have I gotten a snippet of music. Hope that's all that's wrong with it.

Well, those two issues, plus I can't get Iago to work on it any more.
