Question about DL cast member name tags...

Alright, I've got a quick question.
This primarily concerns Disneyland in California;
I know that most of the time (except for special occasions like the 50th anniversary) that CM name tags are white. And that pretty much all of the CMs seen out in the parks wear name tags.
My question is, are there any red name tags for official CMs?
Or are red name tags just souvenirs that guests can buy?
I would really appreciate if someone could answer my question.
Thanks. :)

I am guessing, no, so that it doesn't get too confusing. It's harder for guests "try" and impersonate CMs.

Red nametags are the ones guests can buy.

Am I right in remembering that for a while a few years ago there were multiple colors of GOH tags, with different characters, available for purchase? I think they had every color except white.
In any case, it's helped that from our earliest trips with kids, we were able to tell them to look for people wearing white oval nametags if we got separated.

For purchase,IIRC,
Red- guest of honor,happy birthday
pink-princess
purple-pixie power/Tinkerbell
But now, they are going to have new personalized trading pins with various characters for the "What will you celebrate?" promotion. The Pins will have a magnetized area for personalized name and message plates available for purchase and look like the trading pins, not like CM badges.
I still get occasionally mistaken for a CM with my red name badge and pin lanyard- guess I'm lucky no SGs have accosted me for a mandatory trade yet

Really? Guess they're all swarming me. I honestly lost count this past trip.

DW and I stopped wearing ours, and stopped wearing pin lanyards (years ago) as we kept getting accosted by SG's that Demanded to trade with us(pins), or wanted to know where something was (wearing the name tags)

It's that look of intelligence in your eyes that confuses 'em ;)

Thanks for the responses guys. :)
Now I know that the individual that I have frequently seen at DL is indeed just a very obsessive guest, always loitering in places, sometimes almost acting like a CM, always assuming that they know more than the person that they are talking to (from what I have seen) and seemly at the park more often that me (and I visit the DLR once a week!)

I think I know the guest you're talking about. Does it start with a 'B'?
