glendalais's big move

I paid a visit to Casting today, and had a pleasant chat with a recruiter with regards to a Transfer Application that I put in a while ago.

Long story short, I will be leaving Disneyland Park Food & Beverage and transferring to Tomorrowland Attractions effective sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Yes, I'm very excited. I'll miss Foods, of course, but mainly because of the people, not so much the work, lol. I'm looking forward to starting my new role.

So anyone have any advice to give at this point, vis-a-vis training, and not making myself seem like a SCM, or at least not doing it straight away?

:D:

Good Luck Glendalais... One of these days once the transfer/training is complete, let us all know which attractions you're trained for and SGT will track you down...

I can tell you all exactly where glendalais will be going. He will be going to Autopia, that's where probably 80% of people new to Tomorrowland Attractions go.

I thought the people eater in Tomorrowland had changed to Nemo since it opened?

Oh well *buys ankle guards*.

Yay! A new career move! Yes, I imagine attractions will be more fun than foods. I always like working in food service myself, (did it many moons ago in a college dormitory and in restaurants when I was but a young lass!) but attractions have a special magic all their own!

Congratulations. :D:

We will actually have to get in that line and *drive* a car so we can see you! We usually don't do Autopia due to the line, but we will make a special exception for you! It has been years since we have done Autopia, have wanted to, but the line always put me off!

The last time my daughter and I were in the line for Autopia, and she drove, she tried to drive with her FEET! Then I took over and told her to keep her feet down on the floor. I'd try to keep straight but made the ride bumpy and she was just screeching with laughter, cause I'd go "Whoopsy!"
