Internet Explorer cannot display the web page. I know I'm connected to the internet, and I did not make a typing error on the address, so I'm going to assume there's a problem with the site. Everytime I check my connection, I never find any problems. Tried refresh, which usually works, but not this time.

So, is this supposed to be a relative of Wiley E. Coyote?

If you're on dial up the absolute, squeaky clean line, no line impairments, next door to the central office, speed you'll ever get is 56 kb. Most dial up lines are luck to see half of that.

That's mo' bettah than dial up. Now all you have to contend with is line impairments and what the telco provisioned you for.

Take a look at what they advertise and then use http://internetfrog.com/ to see what you're actually getting. If it's way lower call their tech support and find out what your line is provisioned (max speed) for. If it's any less than what they advertise, demand a free upgrade and don't let them off the hook until they do.

I have DSL, but my computer only came with 128MB of RAM; it can take up to 1024 MB. Someday I hope to buy memory to bring it up to its maximum speed.

Memory is pretty cheap right now. Go to either Crucial or Kensington to price it for your machine.
