I think there were a few versions of the soundtrack. the original father was voiced by Royal Dano, I think

The current version of the Carousel of Progress features the voice of Jean Shepherd as Father and narrator. Rex Allen now plays Grandfather, but voiced Father in the original version.

I THOUGHT the grandpa sounded like the voice of the old-version father! That is way cool.
