Re: Videos of SGs at Universal
Maybe the guy jumped off the tram to get away from that tour guide with the most annoying voice in the world! I sure would have!
"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

That last one sure caused an E-stop.... and possible ejection.
People jump off trams for anything. It is amazing....

Re: Videos of SGs at Universal
The first one was to retrieve a lost item. The second was so dumb as in getting soaked to the bone over a lost item. I have seen people on trams jump off to get an item without thinking about what happens when the tram keeps going on.

After watching these videos, I seriously see guests who are beyond stupid. I agree, they do need to be kicked out of the park.

Re: Videos of SGs at Universal
Have seen the second video before several times. I like how it's edited to make it look like he "just missed" the boat, but don't like how they did that to try to make it look like that really happened. They've got sensors all over there that send it into E-stop. If they didn't, there should have been at least one boat going down the chute while the kid was in the water.
The second one is a bit more understandable, it's your camera, the vehicle has stopped, and there's nothing to stop you from getting off. What makes the video stupid is that he didn't try to signal the driver that he's getting out by waving or shouting "Hey, hold on for a second!"

Re: Videos of SGs at Universal
Male SGs tend to be single minded. They have to get from point A to Point B even if it means crossing chains and tripping and falling while holding their kid no their shoulder. In this case the male SG saw CAMERA and had to get it. The other Male SG saw HAT and had to get it despite crossing into a restricted ride area.
My dad saw on the map the shortest route to northern Arizona which included driving a camper with a trailer and a motorcycle through the mountains and on the switchback narrow roads of Jerome. Point A to Point B meant an extra couple of hours on narrow roads and a lot longer drive.

It isn't just males. Last year there was a woman at Animal Kingdom the jumped down off the train platform at Conservation Station, in-between the train cars, to pick up her hat..mechurchlady wrote:Male SGs tend to be single minded.
