Disneyland in the Spring?

I have a chance to visit DL some time this year (before next October) and thought about going in the early spring before the weather gets too hot. Can any of you left coasters comment on a good time to visit DL that avoids spring break crowds, torrential rains and hot weather?
Yes, I'll be posting this question on Board X too, but thought I'd try to get a few objective opinions from the experts. Thanks in advance. :)

I say avoid going the week before or after Easter. That's when most SoCal schools go on Spring Break. Out-of-state spring breakers tend to start coming around mid-March, but those crowds aren't as bad.
As for rain, if you're from Florida no rain that comes down in SoCal in the spring will qualify as "torrential" (never been to FL myself but I've heard some stories). In my experience a light rain in the spring is the best time to go to DL since it tends to scare off most locals.

I LOVE So Cal in the Spring! We went to DLR in April this year and had a wonderful time. I think it rained one night. The fireworks were iffy a couple nights due to winds, but that can happen anytime of the year, more often when the Santa Ana winds are in full bloom. We loved it because it was so green and so many flowers were blooming and it was not real crowded.
Have a great time and take me with you! (We will probably be in WDW when you are at DLR! We will be at WDW in April/May.)

Thanks, you guys. That helps in our planning. I see the Food & Wine Festival is in April-May at DL. I hope that doesn't increase the crowds considerably. We're thinking of flying in on Saturday, April 18th, suffering the Sunday crowds, and hoping things lighten up during the week.

Hobie, I can't believe you resurrected that ancient thread. Spring break is way over (thank God). You must have run out of places to post your inspirational posters. :p:

Pictures?!?! If I take a five minute walk I can see the real thing on the beach. I just have to remember to wear my Cool Dude sunglasses.
