Well, if PETA gets their way, they plan to release all the animals to the wild and replace them with animatronic copies.

First of all, the animals would not survive in the wild and who wants to see a bunch of fake animals.

So instead of the animals living their lives out in good conditions and properly cared for, they become sick, diseased and food for others. Some ethical treatment.

But, in their convoluted sense of logic, thats okay because they will be out of sight in the water, and thats "natural"

reminds me of that news story about a group that nursed a sick seal, and with tv cameras rolling, released him at sea, where he was promply eaten by a shark while they watched.

True, but it also depends on the point of view.

to the shark, it could be a meal to give her the strength to have little shark pups.
