A Summer at Space Mountain...

Some highlights from Space Mountain this summer...

1. [Guest at Fastpass Machine] "How come it won't take my dollar?"

2. "Do you get wet on this?"

3. "How long's a 55 minute wait?" (FYI... its 5 minutes short of an hour wait)

4. [Guest loading into the wheelchair rocket] "You realize this isn't on the track, right?"

5. [Guest who stood up, causing a lift stop] "How come all the rides are breaking down today?"

6. [Guest] "Why don't you guys fill all the seats?"
[Me] "Well Row 6 is open on the next one, do you guys want to take it?"
[Guest] "No we're waiting for Row 1."

7. Guests who want Row 1 on a ride that's in the dark.

8. Guests who complain about a long line, then complain about being "rushed" when in the station.

9. [Guest at Dispatch] "Someone pee'd on the seat" (so... why did you sit down?)

10. [Panicked Guest at Dispatch] "Can you let me out?? I'm pregnant!" (so... why did you get in?)

11. [Rocket full of big (gay) bears that gets pulled off for being too heavy] "This happens every time!"

12. Guest refusing to leave the station until someone will give her a fastpass because the ride went down before she could get on. All other guests & cast members are quickly leaving because the fire alarm is going off.

13. Guests attempting a last-minute rider switch at closing, making us keep the ride up while they get organized and get into the station, then taking too long to get in (almost broke the ride down at 12:25am with minimal rockets running).

14. Guest dropped a map from the queue all the way down into the track at Hold 1. Map lands ON TOP OF a sensor. (Map landing IN the sensor would have caused an Auto E-Stop).

15. Guest who lost dentures on the ride and insisted on having them back. 2-hour downtime with cast members crawling all around the mountain searching. (Anything that touches anything in the mountain should probably not go into your mouth, don't care how much you clean it).

16. Guests who cut in line and refused to cooperate when caught, then spent 45 minutes arguing with Management, Security, and Theme Park One. The line was only 30 minutes long when they cut.

17. Guest who insisted Space Mountain has had onboard audio since it opened in 1977. Audio wasn't installed until 1998.

18. "How do I get to Rock n' Rollercoaster?"

And one from Autopia:
[Guest] "How come wheelchairs don't get front-of-the-line?"
[Me] "As part of our compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, we are very pleased to provide you with a fully-accessible queue for this attraction."

[hopmode]Why, hello everybody![/hopmode]

:welcome: to :sgt: from :wombat: and :wallaby: !!!

That was a great list! Always interesting to see two attractions, one at DL and one at WDW, and to see how as much as they may change, the SG's stay the same.

That denture one is kinda creepy.

How did you respond for how to get to RnRC? Airport or I-10?

Wow never heard anyone else who knew that big hairy gay guys call themselves teddy bears, lol. Same thing happens on the bobsleds. I got stuck at Magic Mountain near the ride exit because a log was filled with very large football players. Nothing like being in flip flop sandals and climbing from log to log while high in the air.

Do you get wet on the ride?
Only if you wet your pants, again.

Welcome to the board and enjoy the ride.
