500,000,000th guest!

Yesterday the 500,000,000th guest walked through the turnstile. And out of all places to be, where are they from?? Australia!! LOL They won lifetime passes to Disneyland and a replica of the train sign which has the population 500,000,000.

They had predicted the guest would be in about 9:45am but it took until 10:15 since they had only 1 turnstile open.

The line stretched from the gate, running into the DCA entrance line just about, then it curved towards the information booth and just about to the right tram waiting area. WHEW. I'm glad I wasn't a guest that had to wait in that long line! Once the person came through and they open all the other turnstiles, man it looked like a freaking cattle stampede to get to the open turnstiles.

LOL! Prolly one of the Aussies I met at Knott's on Wed! They said they were going to Disneyland this week too. Well, that's cool that they have lifetime passes...At least they won't expire?

it was all preselected. they screen everyones ticket that was standing in line, so t wouldn't be an annual passholder or a castmember signing someone in and the likes. they only had one turnstyle open to better count who's coming thru because they knew it had to be one of the people that morning.
not only did they get the lifetime pass and the statue, they also got to move into the presedential suite at the grand for 1 nite and they got an all day vip tour (pep!) so they were happy campers, oh and dinner somewhere expensive. i'm thinking they chose australiens so they wouldn't come back 6 times a year for free, like someone from kansas...
all in all we ended up with no complaints (low and behold) for our delayed opening and noone cared that we left dca open a half an hour longer, expept for us who had to be manditorialy extended (if i spelled that right)
what a day!

500, 000, 000? That's all the guests we've had? It seems like we should have more.

I dunno... 500,000,000 is quite a lot. Think of it as half a billion. Then it sounds bigger :)

So that averages out to more than 10 million people per year. Seems about right...

Strange, I just now changed it, right before I saw your question.

My previous avatar was a poor resloution copy of the infamous "ghost boy photo" taken in 1976 during the "psychic investigation" of the Amityville Horror house.

I just came across a better resolution copy of the image, and it just looks like a lady on her knees, perhaps taking some measurements or something.

I came across this current image - don't know its origin. It came from an advertisement on some paranormal web site. It looks like a melted Muppet.

FYI - I'm a skeptic when it comes to ghosts 'n' stuff. But I enjoy a good ghost story...
